Agriculture Water Management Portal (AWMP) is prepared with an objective to strengthen research & extension activities among the farmers and other stakeholders through better flow of information on agricultural water use contributing towards the overall management of these resources in the country. The ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management continues its multi-location All India Coordinated Research Project on Irrigation Water Management (AICRP-IWM) with active partnership of 25 funded cooperating centers affiliated to State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), State Department of Agriculture and other Research Institutes of ICAR. AICRP with its 40 years of useful existence has contributed significantly in overall water management practices and better water productivity.
