An awareness campaign on “Balanced Use of Fertilizers” was conducted on April 09, 2026, at Sajanapada village, Natugaon G.P, Block:Nayagarh, Dist: Nayagarh. A total of 26 participants attended the program, including 25 women, reflecting strong engagement of women farmers. The campaign focused on promoting judicious and need-based application of fertilizers, importance of soil testing, integrated nutrient management, and reduction of excessive chemical fertilizer use. Participants were sensitized on improving soil health, reducing input costs, and enhancing crop productivity through balanced nutrient application. The program also encouraged adoption of organic inputs and sustainable farming practices for long-term agricultural benefits. In addition, a Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) representative was invited to discuss marketing linkages for flower and mushroom cultivation. The participants were informed about the advantages of registering under an FPO, including better market access, collective bargaining, input procurement, and improved income opportunities.
