An awareness campaign on the Balanced Use of Fertilizers (BUF) and an input distribution programme were conducted under the CRP Water Theme 4 (SCSP) at Bhakar Sahi, Balipatna, Khordha. A total of 128 farmers participated, including 112 men and 16 women. The programme was organized by Er. Ajit Kumar Nayak and Dr. Sanatan Pradhan. It emphasized the importance of balanced, judicious, and need-based application of synthetic (mineral/inorganic) fertilizers to enhance soil health and crop productivity. Key topics included Integrated Nutrient Management (INM), crop diversification, use of biofertilizers, and practices such as green manuring and green leaf manuring. The programme aimed to promote sustainable agricultural practices and improve farmers’ awareness of efficient resource use.
