ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar organized one day trainers training programme on 23rd September, 2026 for the officers working in the Agriculture and Horticulture Department of Dewas districts of MP in the topic “Hands on Training in Sprinkler Irrigation for higher Crop and Water Productivity” at KVK, Dewas. Sh G. S. Mohania, Deputy Director , Agriculture, Dewas District inaugurated the training programme and Dr. R. P. Sharma, Principal Scientist & Head, KVK, Dewas acted as guest of Honour. Dr. A. Sarangi, Director, ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar delivered the inaugural lecture on Water management for enhancing crop water productivity in the region- An overview. Subsequently, Dr. P. K. Panda, Principal Scientist (Agronomy), Dr. D. C. Sahoo, Principal Scientist (SWCE), Dr. D. Ghosh, Senior Scientist(Agronomy), & Dr. V. Prajapati, Senior Scientist (Soil Science) from WTC, IARI, New Delhi delivered various lectures and interacted with the participants in different dimensions of sprinkler irrigation. . The training was attended by 47 officers.
